Kolektory Praha was established as a joint-stock company by decision of the representatives of the City of Prague on 27 June, 2002. The City of Prague is the founder and sole shareholder of the firm, which was entered as a business into the business register – section B, number 7813 – of the Municipal Court of the City of Prague on 17 July, 2002.

Since October 1, 2002, Otakar Čapek has been the General Director of Kolektory Praha. On the basis of contractual agreement with the City of Prague, Kolektory provides for the service of collectors and technical corridors on city property according to ČSN 737505 as well as the service of technical equipment related to the operation of collectors and technical corridors:

• Administration, maintenance and monitoring of collectors
• Elimination of defects and the causes and effects of system failure
• Operation of collectors
• Repair and reconstruction of collectors
• Commercial use of collectors in accordance with existing legal regulations
